Jonathan Hook, Principal- is an attorney that has practiced in the real estate restructuring, bankruptcy and litigation arenas, as well as overlapping practice areas, in several prestigious law
firms in New York City for almost 15 years. Having the luxury of representing large real estate development companies and investment firms such as The Related Companies and Five Mile Capital and syndicates of lenders and opportunistic private equity funds in large, high-profile deals/cases, Jonathan has the skill set and experience to assess investment opportunities in a complete and pervasive fashion and ensure that transactions timely close in a professional fashion.
Ilya Yablonsky, Executive Vice President,
Mid-Atlantic Region- Ilya is responsible for the management and operations of the Mid-Atlantic multi-family portfolio. Prior to joining WAO, he was the Director of Acquisitions for the Mount Washington Group, a Baltimore-based, multi-family owner and operator for more than 6 years. Ilya possesses a broad skill-set consisting of operational real estate experience including acquisitions, underwriting, asset/property management, leasing and marketing, financial reporting, and risk management. Ilya holds a B.A. in accounting from Towson University, is a member of GBBR, NACHI and has served as the Treasurer for his local synagogue for more than 4 years. Ilya is also a licensed Realtor and Home Inspector in the State of Maryland.
Jay Silver, Chief Operating Officer, Jay is responsible for the day to day oversight of the management and property staff for the Mid-Atlantic Region. Prior to joining WAO, Jay was the Operations Manager at BDMG, a Maryland based multi-family owner and operator with more than 6,000 units in the DMV area. Jay has accumulated a wealth of skills and knowledge over the 5 years at BDMG, where he directly oversaw all renovation projects, vacant turnover, property inspections, bank requirements, as well as leasing and asset management. Jay has excelled in cutting expenses while still maintaining the same level of quality throughout his portfolios.
